Dictionaries
All custom dictionaries that are stored in the FaxAction database can now be viewed, modified, created and deleted from within Admin.
To display Email Subject Lines, from the Maintain menu, select Subject Lines. Records in the list can be created, changed, and deleted using the standard list buttons described in the FaxAction Admin Manual.
The list of custom dictionaries is accessed through the new Dictionaries item on the Maintain menu. User dictionaries, Group dictionaries, and the three system-wide dictionaries can be created, changed, and deleted using the standard list buttons described in the FaxAction Admin Manual within the list.
Changes to any dictionary will take effect on individual user workstations as they stop and restart the FaxAction client or log off and log back on.
Record Details

The large text box that makes up most of the form is the list of words in the dictionary. Each word that is to be included in the dictionary must be on its own line. As the FaxAction Client program adds new words to the list, they are stored at the end and thus the list of words is not alphabetized. New words can be inserted anywhere in the list and any word or series of words can be removed.
The Load From File button is used to quickly populate the list of words from an existing file. When the button is clicked, it displays a standard Windows Locate File dialog. Selecting a file from this dialog will cause the contents of the file to be loaded into the word list. No validation is performed on the type or contents of the file before the data is loaded.
The Type dropdown list specifies whether the list of words applies to a specific user, a specific group of users or all users on the system. The three available system-wide dictionaries are Types Custom 1, Custom 2, and Custom 3. An item must be selected in this list before the form can be saved.
Selecting an item from the Type list causes the Name field to change based on the selected type as follows:
If the User type is selected, a dropdown list will be displayed containing all FaxAction User names. Only one dictionary for each user can be created. A user name must be selected from the list before the form can be filed.
If the Group type is selected, a dropdown list will be displayed containing all FaxAction Group names. Only one dictionary for each group can be created. A group name must be selected from the list before the form can be filed.
If one of the three Custom types is selected, the Name field will be a text box in which a descriptive name for the dictionary is entered. Each of these dictionaries must have a unique name that may not be blank. Only be one custom dictionary of each Custom type can be created.
Checking the Admin Only? check box will direct the FaxAction Client to only allow FaxAction Administrative users to add words to the dictionary from the spell-check dialog box.
