Pending List Changes

 

The following enhancements and changes have been made to items accessible from the Pending list:

 

Filter

 

The list record filter, which is accessed through the Filter item on the View menu, has been modified to support the multiple groups per user enhancement and to clarify the date range used when filtering. The modified record is as follows:

The Starting field will now always contain the first date that is to be used when filtering records. This date will default to today’s date less the number of days specified in the Default Filter Days field of the General Info form in Admin. If the user changes the date, the date they entered will be retained until they clear the field or change the date again. Clearing the field will cause the date to be reset to the default.

 

The <ME> item has been removed from the User list and replaced with the My User and Group button.

 

The Groups list, which allowed the user to select a single group in previous versions, has been changed to a list in which zero or more groups can be selected in order to support the multiple groups per user enhancement. If the user is a FaxAction Admin user, all of the groups will be displayed in the list. Otherwise, only the groups that the user has been assigned to will be displayed.

 

If a user has the Default Filter All user preference set in Admin, all groups will be selected by default. If the user does not has this preference set, the groups that the user belongs to will be selected by default. The user can select as many or as few groups in the list as they need. If no groups are selected, no documents assigned to a group will be displayed.

 

The new My User and Group button is used to reset the User and Groups lists to the defaults for the user.

 

Search Criteria Retained

 

This version of the Client now retains all criteria entered by the user in the search prompts that are displayed when the user selects the Find Account, Find CSID, or Find Email Address items from the View menu. If the user performs a search for CSID 5551212, for example, the next time they select the Find CSID item, 5551212 will be prefilled. This enhancement is designed to improve the processing speed when searching for multiple items that are similar.
