Notifier Changes

As discussed in the Admin documentation for Notification Servers and Notification Control, Notifier can now be configured to run, like all other FaxAction processes, multiple instances on any machine on the network.

In addition, Notifier is now solely responsible for sending all notifications. The manner in which the scripts used for Notification are configured has been completely changed. The changes made to Notifier have also laid the groundwork for future enhancements, including the ability to create ad hoc faxes from the Client and the ability for any external system to initiate outbound communication through a database stored procedure call.

Lotus Notes Support

Notifier now supports sending Email through Lotus Notes. Please contact Competent Technologies, Inc. for assistance with installing and configuring this support.

Minor Fixes and Enhancements

The following minor fixes and enhancements have been made:

·     MAPI Email attachments are now received and stored properly in the database.

·     The temporary image files that Notifier creates in the process of sending notifications were not being deleted. This has been fixed.

·     Support has been added for Unisys Remote Accounts in the notification scripts
