Renumber IP Addresses

Many Gannett sites are reporting Corporate has mandated an IP address renumbering, that will align them with the corporate WAN.

If this comes up at your site you will eventually get around to changing the IP address of the Fax Server(s). PLEASE BE ADVISED this will make FaxPort very unhappy since when it was authenticated, it was told a certain IP address, and now it thinks you are trying to run it somewhere else!

There is a procedure for doing this which includes knowing the IP address and the email address of whoever authenticated the software, or making a call to LanSource (now 3Com).

While this transition will take a little time, it’s passing will be far less painful if you plan in advance. Please advise us of your plans and their schedule!
